EPL outfit Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea after a blunder against Barcelona in the Champions League clash which led to a goal by Argentina international Lionel Messi.
Lionel Messi had scored two goals in the first half of the game before Brazilian international Philippe Coutinho drove home another wonder strike against Man United to make it 3-0.
The Red Devils have now been eliminated in the quarter-finals after a 1-0 defeat at home and another 3-0 at the Camp Nou.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stated that he has no reason to be mad at David De Gea, stressing that players also make mistakes but what is more painful is the fact that the blunders committed by goalkeepers always make the headline.
He noted that David De Gea made some fantastic saves in the game which should be commended, adding that his team had started well against the Spanish giants.
However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stated that he now has the task of rebuilding the team ahead of the future challenge as he hopes to get back to winning ways immediately.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils will return to the English Premier League for the challenge of a top-four finish.
