Former Blue Shaun Wright Philips has said young players at Stamford Bridge should leave – because they are not getting chances at the West London club.
21-year-old Ruben Loftus-Cheek, joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan before the beginning of the League season to ensure he could secure regular football.
He is one of a number of Chelsea youngsters plying their trade away from the club due to the lack of playing chances at Stamford Bridge.
Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips believes he had no other choice and said it is a tough one because there are a number of many youngsters at the big clubs coming through. So if the Ruben Loftus-Cheek wants to play regularly and to play for the National team he needs to get game times for at least two solid League seasons.
He said a typical example was Romelu Lukaku leaving the club. The Belgian went out and showed football fans that he’s a top striker and one of the best around.
But while the Chelsea youngster’s are not getting time to flourish, the Blues’ transfer transactions have gone down pretty well with Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Summer signing Spaniard Alvaro Morata has come pretty good while manager Antonio Conte is building a new squad of champions.
