New update on how much money will be paid to clubs in the UEFA Champions have soared higher and will see Liverpool make a profit from participating whether they win the trophy or not.
According to a new report, the Reds will receive the sum of £35 million whether they progress to the UEFA Champions League tournament or not.
Liverpool, who finish second in the UEFA Champions League last season went home with £70 million after they had lost the trophy to Real Madrid at Kiev.
According to the new tournament rules, Liverpool will get £13.64 million for reaching the group stage.
The rules will also see Liverpool earn the sum of £585 million based on their coefficient ranking which will be distributed to all the 32 clubs based on their performances in Europe.
Well, apart from the money issue, UEFA Champions League tournament will be making use of VAR technology which became popular in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Liverpool will be having their first match in the UEFA Champions League against Paris Saint Germain in the first leg.
Apart from Liverpool, other English football clubs who made it to the UEFA Champions League this season are Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
