Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been granted the permission to leave the West London giants for free this summer.
According to the Guardian, his agent Fali Ramadani met with senior Chelsea officials on Friday to secure the release of his client from his managerial job at the club for free thus paving the way for him to join Italian champions Juventus.
Chelsea had earlier insisted that his potential employers, Juventus in this case, pay for the remaining year in his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri signed a two-year deal worth £5m per annum when he was named the Chelsea manager last summer shortly after his three-year spell at Italian Serie A giants Napoli ended.
The Italian tactician put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Chelsea as mentioned above with the option of a third year but his time at Stamford Bridge will come to a halt after just one year.
Chelsea have already drawn up a list of managers being considered in their bid to replace Sarri and former club midfielder Frank Lampard features heavily.
The Chelsea legend is on the list of managerial shortlist alongside the likes of Nuno Espirito Santo (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Javi Gracias (Watford) as well as the unattached duo of Laurent Blanc and Maximiliano Allegri.
