Two Liverpool players have made the shortlist for the Premier League Player of the Month Award for March.
Sadio Mane and Andy Robertson were named on the six-man shortlist for March’s Player of the Month Award.
Seamus Coleman (Everton), Jamie Vardy (Leicester City), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) and James Ward-Prowse (Southampton).
Mane and Robertson were outstanding in the month under review as they helped Liverpool stay in contention for the Premier League title.
Senegalese international star Mane started the month with a scoreless outing in the goalless draw at Merseyside rivals Everton before hitting a brace in a 4-2 win over Burnley at home.
The former Southampton player went on to score the opening goal in the 2-1 away win over Fulham before firing blanks in the last game of the month (a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at home).
In total, Sadio Mane scored three goals in four league games.
He is the third joint topscorer in the Premier League with 17 goals behind Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero (19 goals) and Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah (18 goals).
Scotland national team skipper Robertson helped the Reds to keep a clean sheet against Everton before providing the first goal for the aforementioned Mane during the win over Fulham.
Mane and Robertson would be hoping to do more for Liverpool between now and the rest of the season in the Reds’ quest for major honours in both the Champions League and the Premier League.
