Star player spotted at Cobham ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal clash

New Chelsea signing Ross Barkley looked happy as he trained at Chelsea’s Cobham training base for the very first time at the weekend.

The former Everton man looked to be in brilliant shape as he was involved in his first training at Chelsea since joining the Blues last Friday.

The England international midfielder became Chelsea’s first January signing when he signed a five-and-a-half-year deal with the west London outfit.

Barkley, 24, joined Chelsea from Everton after the Blues parted with a transfer fee believed to be about £15million to seal their first signing of year 2018.

The midfielder will now try to focus and prove his worth to cement a regular spot in the first team under Antonio Conte at Chelsea in the second stanza of the campaign.

He posted the photo below his personal Instagram page with the caption:

The Blues are presently preparing for the League Cup semi-final first leg tie against London rivals Arsenal at home on Wednesday night.

The two Londoners played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the English Premier League encounter at The Emirates Stadium last Wednesday.

The Chelsea latest signing will be hoping to play some part of the encounter when both team square up.
