The agent of Arsenal striker Lucas Perez says that the best offer Arsenal have received for the unsettled player right now comes from La Liga side Deportivo la Coruña and that he has to convince the North London club to accept it.
Perez’ agent Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle is waiting for the Gunners to decide one way or the other as he tries to pen a deal to bring the Spanish striker back to his old club.
Speaking to La Voz de Galicia, he said, “I’m waiting for Arsenal to come back (return) to me, but the best offer they (Arsenal) have on the table for Lucas is from Deportivo.
“At Arsenal, they know he (Perez) is going to play very little there, and they know that Deportivo wants him. It would be good for everyone (both party) to sell Lucas Perez.
“We have to convince them (Arsenal).”
One might wonder if mouthing off in the press about how unfair the London club have been, is the best strategy to persuade the Gunners to sell, and the bid of €9m is well below what Arsenal paid for Perez last summer.
It is believed that Deportivo are ready to come back with an improved bid, above €10m, but for now he remains a Gunner.
Reports say Fernandez is waiting for a signal from the Gunners before flying to London to start negotiations with the Emirate club.
