Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has explained the reasons behind his exit from former Premier League champions Chelsea.
Fantastic debut season at Anfield
The Egypt international attacker has become one of the best footballers in Europe following a brilliant debut season at Merseyside club Liverpool after his summer transfer.
The Reds signed Mohammed Salah in a £39m transfer deal from AS Roma in 2017 to culminate in the flying winger crowned the PFA player of the year award.
Salah has found the net 31 times in 34 matches in the League to lead the division’s goal-scoring log ahead of England and Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
The Egyptian has also scored 10 goals in 14 matches in the champions League to help Jurgen Klopp’s side reach the UEFA Champions League final.
‘I had to leave’ – Salah
The African struggled for form and consistency at Chelsea during an eight-month stint under current Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho before he moved to Fiorentina on loan.
The Liverpool star told Daily Express he didn’t get his chance at Chelsea, so he had to leave.
The Reds will play Chelsea in the League at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
They will take on Real Madrid in the UEFa Champions League final this month.
