Man United are still battling to get Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea to commit his future to the club as his contract is running out already.
The former Atletico Madrid stopper started the season with a rift with former manager Jose Mourinho and he made it clear that he was leaving the club but with the coming of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim manager, David De Gea could be considering a change of mind.
The Red Devils were forced to initiate a clause in his contract which allows them to extend his stay at the club for another 12 months with the hope that he can be convinced to stay at the club and not move elsewhere.
However, the latest report hint that David De Gea could still remain at the club ahead of next season by signing a new contract extension but that will only happen if the Red Devils are able to secure qualification to the Champions League next season.
The Red Devils are currently fifth in the Premier League table as they are below Arsenal and face major competition from the West London outfit Chelsea as well.
Should the Red Devils beat Arsenal and Chelsea for the fourth position, there are chances that David De Gea will agree on a new contract.
