English Premier League outfit Arsenal are desperate to land Italian Serie A outfit Atalanta attacker Duvan Zapata in the coming summer window.

Duvan Zapata emerged as a shock target for the North London outfit as they are reported to be preparing another bid for him ahead of the next transfer market after failing in January.

The Gunners are lacking strength in the attack which is the reason why they are desperate to land new attackers so as to give support to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

The Colombia international has impressed so far this season and has been pointed to by the Gunners boss Unai Emery as the best choice in this situation.

Duvan Zapata is currently on a two-year loan spell with Atalanta from Sampdoria and has been able to become a major figure in the team as well as in the Italian Serie A.

So far this, Duvan Zapata has scored 13 goals and made 5 assists in all competition with the 26 games under his belt and that has been convincing enough to have him succeed at the Emirate Stadium.

However, the need for Duvan Zapata came as a way of replacing injured England international Danny Welbeck whose chances of returning to the Emirate Stadium are slim.
