Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid are in pole position to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic according to the club’s sporting director Fredi Bobic.
The Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director told ZDF that Luka Jovic joining Real Madrid in the summer is a real possibility.
According to Bobic, Luka Jovic has been attracting strong interest from both La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.
German champions Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Chelsea have also been linked with the Serbian international.
Luka Jovic was on a two-year loan deal to German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt from Portuguese champions Benfica before his loan spell was made permanent last week.
He has scored 25 goals in all competitions for Eintracht Frankfurt this term including 17 goals in the German top flight.
Only Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has scored more than Luka Jovic in the German Bundesliga this season.
His form has propelled Eintracht Frankfurt to the semifinals of the Europa League.
The German club will face Premier League club Chelsea in a two-legged semifinal next month to determine who will face Arsenal or Spanish La Liga side Valencia in the Europa League final.
In addition, Eintracht Frankfurt are on course for Champions League football next season with the club currently in fourth spot on the German Bundesliga table.
A top-four finish in the league or winning Europa League will guarantee Champions League football for next season.
