Chelsea are currently analysizing the situation of AS Roman midfielder Radja Nainggolan after the player had a bust-up with his coach boss Luciano Spalletti after being substituted in Sunday’s clash at Atalanta.
The powerful box-to-box midfielder was substituted in the 86 minutes before Roma conceded a last-minute penalty to suffer a 2-1 defeat.
The Belgian has been a major target for the Blues for about two seasons now. Report had it that Chelsea’s new boss Antonio Conte had two different bids for the star rejected last summer.
With Chelsea midfield duo of Cesc Fabregas and Jonh Obi Mikel likely to exit Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer, Nainggolan will certainly be a good replacement for the midfielders.
Although the 28-years old Belgian star had squash off the beef between him and his manager, Chelsea will however try to capitalize on the situation to lure the highly rated star to Stamford Bridge.
The 5ft 9 midfielder moved to AS Roman in 2014 from Italian side Cagliari. Since his arrival to Rome, the Nainggolan has had a total of 122 appearances for the Italian club.
Should Chelsea be able to secure the Serie A star in January, settling down at Stamford Bridge won’t be an issue being that Belgians Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois will help him settle down quickly
