Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has ruled out a return to the Premier League despite the numerous transfer reports linking him with a move back to England.
According to the publication from Goal, Coutinho told reporters that he will stay at Barcelona beyond this season.
The Brazilian international says he has unfinished business at the Nou Camp.
Coutinho has been touted as a possible transfer addition for Premier League sides like Chelsea, Manchester United and former club Liverpool.
The former Inter Milan player has been under pressure to live up to his price tag at Barcelona this term.
Coutinho is the third most expensive player in the history of world football after Catalan giants Barcelona paid £142m to sign him last year.
The 26-year-old joined Barcelona from Merseyside giants Liverpool during last year’s winter transfer window.
Philippe Coutinho would be hoping to prove himself to the Barcelona faithfuls against English opposition when the Catalans face Old Trafford outfit Manchester United in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
He has been talking about the last eight tie especially the first leg clash scheduled for Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Coutinho told reporters that they (as well as former Liverpool teammate Luis Suarez) are ready to deal with the expected unfriendly atmosphere at Old Trafford for the first leg.
