Swede star Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the big names Manchester United signed in the last summer transfer window, and the hugeman has gone ahead to score 28 times for Jose Mourinho’s side this current campaign.
And even though he is currently the player with the most goals this season so far at Man United, former red devils player Paul Scholes, is of the opinion that the Swede legend is not cut out for the club’s big matches.
Paul feels Zlatan shouldn’t be the ideal choice as first-choice central forward next season for United, but thinks the club’s Portuguese manager should turn to Marcus Rashford following his classic performance at the 2-0 victory against Chelsea.
Even though Zlatan helped Man United to win the EFL Cup some weeks ago, Scholes thinks Ibrahimovic can not bring the essential threat of pace that Marcus can provide.
The Swede man would be out of contract at the end of this current campaign, and it is not yet certain if he will choose to remain at Man United.
Some times ago, it was speculated that a strong factor that will determine if he would stay or not is Man United’s ability to qualify for the Champions League.
Paul states that the former PSG striker could still play an important role if chose to remain, but should not be the first choice striker.
