Michael Carrick is expecting a typically feisty encounter when Manchester United meet rivals Manchester City in a friendly in China later this month. Chelsea interested in Lazio attacking midfielder
Lazio are willing to let Felipe Anderson leave at the right price, with Premier League club Chelsea understood to be interested in the Brazilian. The future of Lazio attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson looks increasingly unlikely to be in the Italian capital after the Biancocelesti relaxed their previously rigid stance on letting the player leave. This may well have something to do with the fact that Anderson changed agent only a few weeks ago, opting to affiliate himself with Giuliano Bertolucci. Bertolucci is a close associate of Iranian agent Kia Joorabchian, and the Italian is reportedly working hard to secure a transfer for his new client. Favourites to secure the 23-year-old’s services are Antonio Conte’s Chelsea, who have developed strong ties … [Read more...]
Cantona tells Zlatan: I am king of Manchester, you can be prince
Eric Cantona has welcomed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United, saying he had made the best decision of his life. Speaking to Eurosport, Ibrahimovic spoke of his own pride at wearing the United shirt, but also reminded Zlatan of his place in the club’s royal hierarchy. A battle between Ibrahimovic and Cantona’s egos might just be the superhero fight that destroys the world. Forget Batman vs Superman or Alien vs Predator, this is the big one. “I have a personal message for Zlatan,” Cantona said with typical understatement to Eurosport. “You decided to go red, it is the best choice you ever made. “When you walk into the Theatre of Dreams and you feel the ghosts of the legends who have been there before, when you score a goal right in front of the … [Read more...]
Sanchez not for Sale- Juve chief
Juventus have confirmed that they made a £34m bid for Alexis Sanchez but Arsenal are refusing to sell the star. Speaking to Chilean newspaper El Mercurio, Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta believes that Arsenal will not sell the player, despite his club making a “reasonable” offer. Juventus have already made strides in the transfer market, signing Dani Alves on a free transfer and Miralem Pjanic from Roma. However, losing Alvaro Morata back to Madrid means they need an extra attacking option. The club made Sanchez their first choice. Reports last week claimed that Juventus had bid £26m and then £30m for Sanchez, but Moratta now confirms that the final offer was £34m. That would allow Arsenal to make a profit on the Chilean, but Arsene Wenger … [Read more...]
Hirving Lozano unaware of Manchester United interest
The president of Grupo Pachuca has laughed off talk of Manchester United signing Hirving Lozano and claimed it is simply “not true”. United were thought to be closing in on the signing of 20-year-old Mexico star after the Pachuca vice-president and the player’s father-in-law, earlier this week, suggested a deal was on the agenda. “Yes. It’s all done, just missing some details and after the Olympics, the deal will become official,” Lozano’s father-in-law told Futbol Entre Lineas, while the club’s Andre Fassi claimed: “Already there is negotiations with that team [United]? Yes.” Now however those reports have been dashed by Jesus Martinez, who said that there are no kind of negotiations with the Premier League club. “They are rumours that sometimes even … [Read more...]

Everton boss Koeman says Juan Mata signing is possible
Everton boss Ronald Koeman admits a deal for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is possible. The Spaniard’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt following the arrival of Jose Mourinho and when asked by fans, whilst signing autographs, whether a move for Mata was on the cards, Koeman replied: “Yes, it is possible.” The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Everton and reports in Spain on Friday suggested that the Toffees were in pole position . The arrival of Henrikh Mkhitaryan has no doubt shunted Mata down the pecking order of Old Trafford, now managed by the man who sold Mata from Chelsea. Reports earlier this week suggested that Everton had tabled a £20million offer for Mata, who played under Koeman during his … [Read more...]
