The Football Association has given Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero an extra 24 hours in which to respond to a charge of violent conduct after his apparent elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid. Aguero faces a three-match ban if found guilty of elbowing Reid in City's victory on Sunday and would miss the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Sept. 10. He has now been given until 6 p.m. BST on Thursday to respond to the charge and would automatically receive a three-match ban if he chooses not to contest it. Didier Ndong has signed a five-year deal at Sunderland after a €16million fee was agreed with Lorient. Sunderland have signed midfielder Didier Ndong from Ligue 1 side Lorient for a fee of €16million. The 22-year-old has agreed a five-year deal on Wearside and becomes David Moyes' seventh singing since succeeding England boss Sam Allardyce as manager at the Stadium of Light. Werder Bremen have completed the permanent signing of Olympic silver medallist Serge Gnabry from Arsenal. Serge Gnabry has left Arsenal and completed a permanent switch to Werder Bremen. Germany Under-21 international Gnabry, who won a silver medal with his country at Rio 2016, came through the academy at Arsenal before making 10 Premier League appearances for the club. Premier League clubs have now spent more than £1 billion on transfers in the summer window. The league had already broken its own transfer record last week, when Manchester City's signing of Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo pushed clubs' gross spending up to £880 million -- topping the £870m of last summer.
