Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has insisted he is not in a hurry to leave Old Trafford and is ready to fight for his place in the team and achieve his dreams.
Since joining United from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of about 27 million pounds, Mkhitaryan has not had it easy and has struggled to hold down a spot in the premiership team and this has left many fans very disappointed.
Though he had injury concerns earlier in the season, when given the chance to play he has not shown the form that made him one of the most wanted players by several top clubs in Europe.
At Dortmund, Mkhitaryan was touted as one of the best players in Europe and last season in Germany, he was voted player of the year after posting great performances for his club that saw him score 23 goals and provided 32 assists in 51 matches.
The 27-year-old has also been criticized by United’s boss Jose Mourinho who has stated the midfielder needs to more to get regular playing time.
Mkhitaryan has stated he is prepared to work for his place in the team and will not leave. Speaking to reporters after he was appointed as goodwill ambassador for Unicef in Armenia he said
“It is true that I get little time on the field, but I am not going to give in,” “I went a long way to play in Manchester United, so nothing will prevent me from achieving my dream. I will not retreat, I will find the strength to reach my goal.”
