Premier League giants Liverpool won’t be moving for Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse according to the publication from the Liverpool Echo.
It was revealed that Liverpool have decided to put their faith in Divock Origi and Rhian Brewster for the new season rather than make a move for the aging Max Kruse.
The 31-Year-old Werder Bremen star had earlier been linked with the newly crowned Champions League winners but the aforementioned publication revealed that the Reds won’t make a move for the German international star as their backup striker to the front trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Max Kruse scored 12 goals and also provided 13 assists in 36 games for Werder Bremen in all competitions during the just concluded season.
Liverpool have opted to retain faith in both Origi and the young Brewster as their backup options for the deadly front trio of Salah, Firmino and Mane who scored 69 goals in all competitions during the just concluded campaign.
The Reds want to hand Origi a new deal after his huge impact on the Liverpool team towards the end of the season and also promote Brewster as the direct replacement for Daniel Sturridge.
England international Sturridge has left the club this summer upon the expiration of his contract with the Reds.
