Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona are reportedly out of the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic.
This is according to the publication from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo which claimed that Barcelona won’t pursue a move for Luka Jovic this summer.
Luka Jovic is one of the most sought-after young players in European football and he has been linked with several clubs including Chelsea.
Apart from Barcelona and Chelsea, Luka Jovic has also been touted as a possible transfer addition to others like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Liverpool.
The aforementioned publication revealed that the new development concerning Barcelona and Luka Jovic has left Real Madrid in pole position for the young Serbian international striker.
Luka Jovic was initially on a two-year loan deal at German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt from Portuguese top flight leaders Benfica before the Germans made the move permanent last month though that hasn’t stopped him from being linked to other European sides.
Recent reports claimed that the player is Real Madrid-bound though an official announcement has not been made to that effect.
Luka Jovic has been in very good form for his Eintracht Frankfurt side this season with 25 goals in all competitions including 17 league goals in the German top flight this term.
