Man United legend Gary Neville has revealed that his former side have been wasteful over the past years in a bid to strengthen their team, but it has amounted to a waste of resources as there has not been a way forward.
According to him, the Red Devils have spent about £700 million in the previous transfer windows since legendary manager Alex Ferguson left the club but they are yet to boast of anything meaningful.
The likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Juan Mata, Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini have all been brought within the period but there was still no hope for the club until the coming of former player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the team as big money have failed to return the team back to glory days.
Gary Neville therefore, noted that the Red Devils have got a lot of jobs to do as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be willing to keep only a few players at the club which means they will have to go all out for more additions in the summer window.
He, therefore, stressed that there is an expectation that the new era will get it right with the transfer window as it will determine how well they will perform in the coming season.
