What Mourinho really wants at United revealed

Emerging reports reveal that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho seeks to have a control of the recruitment department and decision at the Old Trafford.

This is followed by what is described as a disappointment suffered by the manager in the summer when his wish for defensive additions was not granted.

The Portuguese manager had wished for the signing of Harry Maguire, Jerome Boateng and Toby Alderweireld after the sum of £70 million had already been spent on Diogo Dalot and Fred in the summer leading to the rift with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

It is believed that the former Chelsea boss can no longer trust the management of the club in transfer dealings, hence he wishes he has all the say in that regard ahead of the January winter window.

There are reports that a director of football would be brought in to the Old Trafford to have the final say on the recruitment of players, a development that could be a blow to the manager who wants more additions to be able to compete.

Meanwhile, Mourinho has been linked with a shock move to Spanish side Real Madrid after former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte reportedly rejected an offer to take charge of the club.
