Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has played down his barren scoring run against Manchester United as both sides prepare to face each other in the Premier League on Sunday.
In an interview with Premier League TV, Salah said that he doesn’t care if the record remains as long as the Reds win against their rivals.
The Egyptian international player further said that Liverpool want to stay at the top of the Premier League table.
Liverpool must get at least a draw to end the weekend at the top of the Premier League log.
Mohamed Salah has not scored for Liverpool in his three outings against Manchester United since his move to the club last season.
Those three meetings have yielded one win, one draw and one defeat.
Mohamed Salah signed for Liverpool from Italian Serie A club AS Roma in a $44m (£39.7m) deal in the summer of 2017 and he has scored 64 goals in 86 appearances for the Merseyside club.
The former Chelsea winger could score his 50th goal in the Premier League against a Manchester United side chasing a place in the top four.
The Red Devils are one point ahead of rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for next season’s Champions League.
