Arsenal manager Unai Emery almost made a mistake that would have cost his side in their Premier League encounter against Everton on Sunday.
The Gunners had recorded a convincing victory at the Emirates Stadium, all thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Aubameyang in the second half of the game.
Lacazette had opened the scoring with a stunning strike from the edge of the area but that wouldn’t have happened because he would have been subbed before then.
Emery said he felt the team were not giving him what he wanted so, he opted to bring out the French striker in order to change tactics to break the Everton.
Speaking to Arsenal official website, the former PSG manager said the first goal was significant to ensuring a win because of the time it came.
Arsenal are believed to be back to their best after seeing four consecutive wins in the league, to add to last week’s Europa League win.
It was a slow start at the Emirates Stadium having suffered consecutive defeats Manchester City and Chelsea respectively in the first two games of the season.
The Everton game also handed Arsenal their first clean sheet of the season as they have conceded in their last six games.
