Star player speaks on Mourinho’s interest

Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar has reacted to reports that he is being monitored by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho.

It is reported that Mourinho had told former AC Milan manager Fabio Capello of his interest in the player and that seems to have excited him.

In his reaction, he noted that it is a privilege for him to have a manager like the Portuguese boss monitor him.

He therefore affirmed that he currently has a contract with the Italian side and he will be happy to remain because of his love for the city and his wish to live close to his family.

However, Mourinho who had missed out on a number of defensive targets in the summer window is looking forward to having a busy winter dealings as he hopes to strengthen his defence.

United have struggled under the reigns of the Portuguese manager with three defeats in the Premier league but the situation seems to be turning around after seeing two comebacks against Newcastle and another against Chelsea.

Although the game against the West London club ended in a 2-2 draw after the Mourinho side rose up from a 1-0 defeat to upturn the situation at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
