Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is prepared to seal a loan transfer away from Stamford Bridge in order to get himself into his national team squad for next summers FIFA World Cup.
According to the Evening Standard, who claim that the Belgium international striker wants to depart the West London club on loan in the New Year due to Mitchy being cautious of him possibly missing the flight to Russia with Belgium.
Since his joining Chelsea from France in 2016, the ‘Batman’ has struggled to seal himself a regular spot with Antonio Conte’s team.
The striker has been able to play 43 matches for Chelsea, netting 16 goals and making three assists during the period.
So far this season, the forward has only featured in eight matches out of a possible 18 in the Premier League, with the Belgian only netting two goals during that period.
Last term, the forward’s record wasn’t really better, as the 24-year-old striker only scored five league goals in 20 Premier League matches, although one of the goals came in Chelsea’s title-winning 1-0 win over West Brom.
Should he eventually secure a loan twitch away, it’ll be interesting to see whether he can regain his form and retain his position in Belgium’s FIFA World Cup squad for Next Year.
