West Ham boss David Moyes was seen at Stamford Bridge Wednesday night to watch target Michy Batshuayi play for Chelsea, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Recently ESPN linked the Chelsea striker with Sevilla move after a tough campaign that has barely seen the forward handed any first-team chance by Italian tactician Antonio Conte.
Previously, the Daily Mail linked the Blues with an interest in West Ham striker Andy Carroll, so it’s crystal clear the former Manchester United and Everton manager could do with a forward like the Belgium international strike as a replacement in attack.
With the forward clearly not in Antonio Conte’s first team plans in the long run, a swap deal involving both sides makes sense this month.
Blues faithful’s won’t exactly be happy at the possibility of signing a striker like Andy Carroll, but replacing him with the Belgian makes sense after his lack of tangible impact at Chelsea.
Despite making a reasonable impact at former club Marseille, Batshuayi, 24, has scored only seven League goals for Chelsea so far, and may not be the kind of striker the Blues can rely on.
Davi Moyes’ presence at Chelsea’s stadium certainly suggests he’s watching the player, with reports noting that the Scot appeared watching him closely and take notes on his FA Cup display against Norwich City.
