European Champions, Real Madrid and English football club, Chelsea had some exchange in the just concluded English Premier League transfer window.
Chelsea former goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois moved to Spain where he is now signed to Real Madrid while Real Madrid loaned out Croatia international, Matteo Kovacic to Chelsea as part of the exchange.
However, it looks as if Kovacic is planning to secure a permanent contract once the loan deal lapse.
The Croatian midfielder seems happy to be at Chelsea as he is likely to get more playing chances there, playing a supporting role to Chelsea new signing, Jorginho.
Kovacic has always wanted to leave La Liga giant Real Madrid owing to the limited playing time he gets at Santiago Bernabeu as he has to compete with the likes of Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric to get a place in the first XI.
According to a post Kovacic shared on his Social Media handle, the player is not looking forward to returning to Spain and may be looking for a permanent contract in England when his loan contract expires at the end of the season.
