Match details: Arsenal scored 3 goals against Bate Borisov

Arsenal 3 Bate Borisov 0

Arsenal have booked a place in the last-16 of the Europa League with a realistic victory against BATE Borisov.

Ofcos there was early tension of trying to overturn the first-leg deficit, it was soon dispelled when, after tactical play, Arsenal took the lead in the 4th minute.

The first goal happened when Pierre-Emerick Aubayemang dropped his shoulder and presses away down the right before seeing his cross diverted to the net by Zakhar Volkov.

One would say it was a very good start for the Gunners – since Lukas Podolski’s strike against Galatasaray back in December 2014, this will definitely be the fastest goal in the history of Arsenal.

Arsenal continued with their tactics, pressing forward to dismantle their opponent defence, on the other hand,  Alex Iwobi was close to doubling the score, although Borisov did pose a very powerful threat pushing forward.

Borisov came close to equalising when Stephan Lichtsteiner was shaky into clearing off  Stanislav Dragun shot, Dragun was the man that scored the only goal of the game in the first leg.

Granit Xhaka and Aubameyang powered upfront to test Denis Scherbitski, before Shkodran Mustafi scored the second goal by powering home a header from a corner.

Nigeria born AlexIwobi came close to adding a third by powering a low shot which was later pushed away by Scherbitski, and then,  Alex Hleb came on for the visiting team.

The Gunners scored the third goal from the corner when Sokratis rose the highest to give Arsenal some breathing space in this tie.

Aubameyang was close to scoring by powering a shot on target, but there would be no further goals as the Gunners finally secured our place in Friday’s last-16 draw.
