Liverpool powerhouse Dejan Lovren is set to return from injury and will be available in a game against Leicester City, klopp confirmed.
Jurgen Klopp in a report revealed to Express said that the defender is expected to train with the club and could be fielded against Leicester City on Monday after his injury kept him from play at the start of the month.
Lovren has not been fielded in the last two Premier League game against Hull City and Tottenham, and has not been training due to his injury since last week.
The powerful defender flew to Germany to see a specialist spreading rumors that he might be put off-play for a long time, but Klopp has insisted that the injury is not a big deal.
He told The Express: “Dejan Lovren couldn’t join us [at La Manga], but he was running today and felt good, he could take a few more steps in the right direction.
“There’s no long-term concern about his knee. He should be training tomorrow.
“He will be very, very close for the Leicester game.”
With Lovren fielded for Monday’s game against Leicester City, this will give Liverpool’s fans a significant boost who have seen their side struggled defensively.
Jurgen Klopp also revealed Daniel Sturridge will be back in training after being sent home from Spanish camp with a virus.
In related news, Georginio Wijnaldum could still play part in Monday’s game against Leicester.
