Manchester United shot-stopper David De Gea is not pleased with fans for not offering him the necessary support he needs after he made an unfortunate mistake in Spain’s 3-3 draw with Portugal in the World Cup on Friday.
The talented goalkeeper has slammed his critics and said he hasn’t ‘killed anyone’ despite some blunders that gifted Cristiano Ronaldo some goals yesterday.
Spain were on the verge of winning the game in Sochi, but Ronaldo’s superb free-kick was enough to share points with the Spaniards at the 87th minute.
And while it is understandable that the third goal couldn’t have been easily saved by the goalkeeper, De Gea was heavily criticised and insulted for the mistake that birthed Ronaldo’s second goal.
But David was very much displeased that he didn’t receive any support from his country after the incident.
Speaking after the game, De Gea made it known that he thrives on criticism, but he is unhappy that those from Spain failed to support him adequately.
The talented goalkeeper is being regarded by many as the best goalie in the world and has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent times.
Champions League winners Real Madrid are reportedly set to do all it takes to get his signature and bring him down to the Bernabeu.
