Spanish shot-stopper David De Gea is one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and he is the pride of Manchester United and the fans.
Although the huge goalie wasn’t impressive at his national side during their World Cup outing in Russia, no one can deny the fact that he remains a talented goalkeeper.
Manchester United also have Sergio Romero. The Argentina international is the club’s second choice goalkeeper and is also a superb shot-stopper who has represented his country in the World Cup on two different occasions.
Sam Johnstone, the club’s third choice shot-stopper, is set to leave Old Trafford this summer for a switch to West Brom. Sam will be sold for £6.5M and Manchester United are on the verge of replacing him with Stoke City’s Lee Grant.
The 36-year-old is expected to leave Stoke City after they suffered relegation to the Championship last term. And according to Mirror Sport, the club have agreed to allow the goalkeeper join the red devils.
Lee has been in-between the sticks in over 400 games in his career and he has all it takes to be a decent back-up for both David and Sergio at Old Trafford. Even if he won’t feature in a single game next season, the two goalkeepers can benefit a lot from his pool of experience.
