Manchester United have been handed some good news as defender Eric Baily could return earlier than expected.
The 22 year old Ivorian was expected to be out of action till Christmas after suffering an injury in the 4-0 loss to Chelsea a fortnight ago. Baily joined United from Villarreal in the summer for about 30 million pounds and has been a regular in the team.
According to the Independent, Baily rehabilitation is going fine and he is progressing very well and now hopes to return in the next one month and could feature in the premiership match against Tottenham on December 11.
Without Bailey as well Smalling who is also injured, Mourinho has had to use Daley Blind Marcos Rojo left backs as Center backs. With Antonio Valencia also injured and Phil Jones just coming back from injury United in recent weeks has had a make shift defense.
Mourinho has found it difficult so far as Manchester United manager and injuries to his defenders has only made his job more difficult. Reports state the former Chelsea boss is interested in improving his options in defense and will look to bring in some players in the next transfer window.
United have been struggling in recent weeks and have only two wins in their last seven matches and in their four premier league matches have only been able to get three points.
The poor run has left Manchester United eight points behind league leaders Manchester City, a deficit they will hope to cut down when they visit Swansea on Sunday
