Reported Interest
According to Reports, Premier League giants Manchester United are allegedly interested in a transfer swoop for Dortmund ace Marc Bartra as his side look open to offloading him.
Several Suitors
As per Marca, the Red Devils are one of several big teams to have contacted the Spaniard’s availability this winter, though a transfer back to Spain with Real Betis looks very likely at the moment.
Still, the same publication suggests Manchester United, Juventus, and Manchester City have shown interest in the defender’s situation as the player could yet prove himself to be a quality defender for a top side.
Top quality defender
Bartra, 27, displayed a lot of promise during his playing time at Catalan side FC Barcelona but was unfortunate to fall behind some top players in the pecking order at the La Liga club.
Bad luck at Barcelona
Although the defenders ill luck has largely continued at German Bundesliga giant Borussia Dortmund, he’s clearly displayed enough to get top managers like Portuguese and Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and City boss Pep Guardiola taking a look at the defender.
Big move beyond Bartra
Ultimately, however, a big transfer could be beyond the defender on this occasion as other teams seem to be searching elsewhere for defensive options.
The Guardian suggest Manchester City are close to reinforcing with Aymeric Laporte in that role, while Manchester United already signed Victor Lindelof during the last summer.
