According to reports, Man United fear they will lose their No. 1 shot-stopper David De Gea to Real Madrid next summer, as the La Liga champions plot a new move for the talented goalie.
The Spaniard was on the verge of moving to the Bernabeu in the summer of 2015, but some little issues hindered the move.
He joined Manchester United from Atletico Madrid in 2011, and he has evolved into one of the best goalkeepers in the world. David had made the Premier League PFA Team of the Year on four different occasions and is a regular starter at international level.
Real Madrid are still keeping tabs on him at Old Trafford, and according to report, the red devils are ready for another approach from the La Liga giants next summer.
Real Madrid are said to be set to replace Keylor Navas, and they believe De Gea is the right guy for the job.
The report also added that the management at Man United are becoming increasingly convinced the Spain international will return back to his home country next year.
David has been able to keep eight clean sheets in 12 Premier League games this season so far, helping his side sit second on the premier league table behind league leaders Manchester City.
Obviously, many Manchester United fans won’t feel happy seeing him leave Old Trafford.
