Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has made it known that Marouane Fellaini could leave his side on a free transfer next summer and has admitted he is powerless to stop the Belgian midfielder.
Fellaini will be out of contract at the end of the season, and his body language is suggesting he might not put pen on paper for a new deal with Manchester United.
The former Everton midfielder has become a key player under manager Jose Mourinho, and the former Chelsea boss said he would sooner leave Old Trafford than allow Marouane to join Galatasaray last summer.
However, despite holding lengthy discussions with Man United, the 30-year-old is no nearer to signing a new contract, and Jose is now confessing that he is worried the Belgium international will leave the club next summer
Speaking ahead of the clash against Brighton, Jose said as a manager, he isn’t involved in contract deals, and Fellaini’s future is out of his control.
The Belgian international is expected to start for the red devils when they host Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The game is a must-win for Jose Mourinho, as his side will soon meet Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City early next month.
Man City are still topping the table with eight points and are yet to lose a single game this season so far.
