It appears Man United have a handful of injury issues ahead of their next premier league game against Crystal Palace.
The club’s boss Jose Mourinho has made it known that he is not expecting Phil Jones, Michael Carrick or Marouane Fellaini to be fit for the Saturday game at Old Trafford.
The trio did not travel with the rest of the team to Russia for their 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow at the VEB Arena on Wednesday night.
Summer signing Romelu Lukaku continued his fine form this season by scoring a brace at Moscow, alongside a penalty from Anthony Martial and the fourth by Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Their efforts gave Jose all three points from the game, but the Portuguese boss has less than 72 hours to get his side ready for the premier league game on Saturday.
And the manager, giving his side’s injury situation ahead of the clash with the Eagles, admits he isn’t expecting to welcome any of the trio back into the setting at Old Trafford.
Apart from Fellaini, Jones and Carrick, the Old Trafford club may also have doubts over in-form forward Anthony Martial. The youngster was forced to limp off in the second half of the Wednesday win and was replaced by Marcus Rashford – although he emerged the man of the match after the game.
