60-year-old shortlisted
According to reports, Arsenal are keen on appointing Nice head coach Lucien Favre as Arsene Wenger’s successor.
German publication Bild, as cited by The Sun, is claiming that Arsenal have shortlisted the 60-year-old as a possible replacement for departing Arsene Wenger after the French tactician disclosed that he is leaving the club when the current season ends.
22-year spell coming to an end
Arsene Wenger said on Friday that he is prepared to end his season-long spell at the club at the end of the current season.
There is inevitably set to be a number of rumour about who the club are set to offer the vacant managerial role for the new campaign.
Nice boss mentioned
And Nice manager Favre is reportedly one of Arsenal’s top targets. The same report suggests that the Swiss tactician would be available when the season ends for the “small fee” of £3.5million.
