Spanish forward Lucas Perez has finally completed a move away from Arsenal to West Ham.
The 29-year-old arrived at the Emirates two years ago from Deportivo La Coruna, and was tipped to continue his success in the Premier League with Arsenal but that has not been the case since then.
Perez has been unable to break into the first team under Arsene Wenger, despite showing patches of brilliance when called upon but that did not stop him from going on loan to his former club, Deportivo.
Having returned to Arsenal’s pre-season training, there were reports that the striker was out to impress new boss, Unai Emery who gave all players chances to stake a claim in the team but the striker could not get into the plans of his fellow Spaniard.
Sporting Lisbon were reported to have considered signing Lucas Perez but the striker wants to remain in England.
It is also understood that West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini opted to sign Lucas Perez despite having the chance to sign Fernando Llorente from Tottenham Hotspur.
Perez will hope to impress Pellegrini at the Hammers, as he stands in as an alternative striker to Marko Arnautovic.
Lucas Perez will be the second player to leave Arsenal for the Hammers this summer window, following the arrival of Jack Wilshere as a free agent.
