Liverpool signed Alisson Becker from AS Roma some days back, and as expected, everyone will see some changes in Jurgen Klopp’s goalkeeping department this season at Anfield.
For Simon Mignolet, the Belgian is en route Besiktas on a season-long loan, and it was made known that the agreement will be concluded in the next few days.
After becoming the most expensive goalkeeper in football history, Alisson will take the No. 1 position at Anfield, while Loris Karius will become his backup.
Should 30-year-old Mignolet choose to stay put at Anfield this season, it is obvious he will sit on the bench for most of the term.

For many Liverpool fans, there is nothing much about Mignolet’s move (in terms of emotions). He couldn’t impress accordingly in recent years, and he is not as good as Alisson. Perhaps he would regain some confidence at some other leagues that are not as demanding as the premier league.
However, we all should wish him well in his career and hope he flourish at Besiktas.
