Apart from Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho, another Liverpool star who had been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield this summer is German international Emre Can.
There are lots of speculations surrounding the player’s future at Liverpool, and it is not yet known what will become of him considering that he has just a year left on his current contract.
In a new development however, there are reports that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has informed the 23-year-old that he cannot leave the club this summer.
It is understood that Emre and the Merseyside club have been trying to negotiate a new deal over the summer but are still not close to an agreement.
The reds are being pressured to sort out everything soon as Can is attracting interest from Serie A heavyweights Juventus, and the Turin-based club are said to be ready to pay £23 million for his services.
But the Mirror are reporting that Liverpool manager Klopp has told the midfielder that he cannot leave Anfield this summer, and will prefer losing the player for free next year instead of selling him now.
Already this summer, Klopp’s side have sold Lucas to Lazio for £5 Million and are yet to bring in a new midfielder to replace him. They failed in their attempt to lure RB Leipzig star player Naby Keita despite being linked with the African player for much of this summer.
