According to new reports circulating in the English media, Liverpool are planning to sign Salomon Rondon from West Brom to replace Daniel Sturridge at Anfield.
Sturridge has been in the news recently due to his links with different clubs across Europe, and he is expected to leave Anfield on loan before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window.
The Englishman has mainly warmed the bench since manager Jurgen Klopp took over as boss at Liverpool, and he is now desperate for more game time.
Brazil international Roberto Firmino is the main man upfront in Klopp’s team, and even Dominic Solanke is now ahead of Daniel in the striking pecking order.
Sturridge, determined to secure a spot in England’s World Cup squad, is pushing for a move to a club he can get regular playing time, and his next likely destination would be Inter Milan.
However, it was added that Everton are also interested in the West Brom striker and that the club could decide to sell him for £15million.
Salomon has 18 months left on his current contract with the baggies and has only scored 3 goals this season so far.
Obviously, this is not the type of player Liverpool fans would like seeing at Anfield!
