It appears Liverpool will eventually beat Arsenal to Thomas Lemar’s signature this summer – as his club are insisting he won’t be sold this month.
According to new reports, the Anfield club already have an agreement in place with the exciting French youngster.
Lemar was heavily linked with Arsenal during the past summer transfer window and was close to joining the North London club before Monaco halt the move.
Despite his lack of consistency this season, Thomas is still linked with a handful of top European clubs this January, but his side are demanding a fee above €100 million (£88m) for his signature.
However, Yahoo Sport made it known that Jurgen Klopp’s side have reached an agreement with the 22-year-old, but they are unwilling to splash a fee that high on the talented player.
Barcelona are also understood to be interested in signing Thomas, despite completing a £142m deal for Phillipe Coutinho some days back.
Thomas has played 23 games for the Ligue 1 champions this season so far and has scored 3 goals with 5 assists.
He is expected to travel to Russia for the World Cup with the rest of the French player later this year, and his worth could also rise if he impresses at the tournament.
