Liverpool are working towards adding one or two new legs into Jurgen Klopp’s team before the transfer window closes on Thursday, but they will need funds to get things done. The Merseyside club are therefore expected to sell one or two players to get revenue.
One Liverpool player who has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield is Mamadou Sakho. The defender has not played for the reds since last year following his fall out with the club’s boss Jurgen Klopp during their preseason outing last summer, and he is expected to leave the club anytime soon.
He was made an outcast and spent the second half of last term on loan at Crystal Palace. He was able to prove his worth playing for the Eagles in limited game time, and Crystal Palace were impressed with his performances.
Liverpool are ready to cash-in on him, and Palace are determined to bring him in on a permanent basis. However, it is understood that other English clubs including Leicester City and West Brom are also interested in his signature and that Liverpool are confident they will receive up to £30m for the Frenchman considering the interest in him.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have rejected multiple loan bids for the French defender – including offers from Crystal Palace and Inter Milan – and are determined to get him off their wage bill.
