The transfer window is closing on the 31st of this month and it appears Liverpool are working harder to complete the signing of Monaco star player Thomas Lemar before Thursday midnight.
According to news coming from France, the Merseyside club have offered Lemar’s club €80m plus Divock Origi on loan for the term in exchange for the exciting French winger.
It was made known that Liverpool have already had two bid rejected for Lemar but will hope that their improved bid will be enough to persuade Monaco to send the player over to Anfield.
French outlet L’Equipe made it known that the Reds intend paying €50m up front and €30m next summer, and then send Origi to Monaco on loan for the season.
Divock Origi has been linked with a move away from Anfield in recent times following lack of regular first team football in Jurgen Klopp’s team. The striker is behind the likes of Firmino and Dominic Solanke in the pecking order, and won’t mind going to a place he will get regular playing time.
Divock Origi has confirmed he would be interested joining the Ligue I side if he can be assured of regular game time.
However, considering that Monaco have sold some of their top players already this summer, it is unlikely that they will sell any player again to enable them have a strong team that can compete with PSG for the Ligue I title one more time.
