23-year-old Kelvin Stewarts came back to Liverpool after spending part of last season at Swindon to gain match experience with limited chances at the Reds.
He’s been trying to break into Klopps starting XI and talked up training at the club with the former Borrusia Dortmund manager.
Discussing the development of players at Anfield, he said: “We don’t have intense talks every day.
Speaking of Klopp’s approach to player development, he said: “We don’t have intense talks every day.
“We’ll have talks and then he gives me time to work on it, and then maybe in a week or two weeks he’ll come back again and talk about how things have been going and what he wants me to change or improve on.
“The main thing is for me to show what I’m good at – I don’t try to be someone else, that’s the main thing.”
Ever since coming back Kelvin Stewart has had only bits of substitute appearances this season and he believes he can work his way into the team.
He has a goal and he says it’s:”To keep improving as a player, to be ready for when the first team call me up or need me if there are injuries.
“And then in the future, just try to improve and become one of the regulars.
“The main thing I wanted was to be here every day so I could show the staff here what I could do.”
Liverpool won against Sunderland but still remain below Chelsea who also won their game against Tottenham.
