Liverpool manager reportedly hopeful of signing this talented midfielder

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are hoping German national Emre Can commit his long term future to the club as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

The German has had a significant impact upon his arrival to Anfield Stadium from Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen back in 2014. Emre has played a prominent role under manager Jurgen Klopp proving his versatility by playing in several different positions in defense and midfield.

He’s brilliant performances have also earned him a place in Germany’s national men football team, and he was also recently part of the German team that went on to win the recently concluded FIFA Confederation Cup.

Emre, 23, is scheduled to sign a new contract once he returns from his extended holidays, due to his participation in the FIFA Confederations Cup this summer.

The German might reconsider his options as Serie A Champions Juventus seem to be showing interest in buying the player for a reasonable fee this summer transfer window, or better still for free next summer!

The Reds want to keep him at Anfield despite being linked with a summer transfer for defensive midfielder Naby Keita from RB Leipzig.

The Liverpool manager needs depth and talent in his current team ahead of next season, if he desires to challenge for titles next season, considering all their rivals have already made a couple of quality signings to their squads.
