Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has talked about his side’s transfer plans ahead of the January transfer window expected as from the 1st of January, 2017.
Star forward Sadio Mane is scheduled to leave for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon with the Teranga Lions of Senegal next week. Aside Mane, English striker Daniel Sturridge and Brazilian playmaker Philippe Coutinho have spent some weeks on the sidelines with respective injuries however the former returned to action during the last league game against Everton while the latter would return for the league game against Manchester City at Anfield slated for Saturday, December 31, 2016.
“I think I have said one or two times, if there is something for us that makes sense and is possible, because there are other clubs, then it’s what we always do.”
“I can say we don’t want to convince players with money.
“We want to have players ready to develop.” he further added.
Liverpool, who are currently occupying second spot on the league with 37 points from 17 games, are presently in a fantastic position for a first league title for over two decades. They are in a keenly contested race with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
