Bayer Leverkusen’s Julian Brandt has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent times, and it appears the talented playmaker will play at Anfield next season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have been tipped to reignite their pursuit of Brandt after they failed in their attempt to sign him during last year’s January transfer window.
The talented player came to the scene as Liverpool looked to compensate for the loss of Mane who travelled to Africa to represent his country in the AFCON. However, it never materialised, and the player was heavily linked with a switch to Bayern Munich instead.
Nevertheless, Julian remained with Leverkusen and has now reemerged as a possible target for the Anfield club after they missed out on signing Nabil Fekir from Lyon.
Fekir was on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool last month, but the French side chose to pour cold water on the deal.
And Calcio Insider made it known that the reds will now focus on a €60M move for Brandt.
The player put pen on paper for a new deal with Leverkusen back in April and was able to score nine times and provided five assists last term for the club.
Brandt was part of the German party that travelled to Russia for the World Cup, but he couldn’t help prevent his country from leaving the tournament prematurely.
