Liverpool Handling Title Pressure Well

Former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt believes that the current players are handling the pressure of the Premier League title bid well.

Kuyt is backing on the Liverpool players to deliver their first title in 29 years.

Liverpool last won the league title in the English top flight during the 1989/90 season when it was still the Old Division.

Ex-Dutch international Kuyt talked about Liverpool and the Premier League title in a chat with the London Evening Standard.

Dirk Kuyt said that the pressure of getting results in football is high and that the pressure of winning football games at a club like Liverpool is even higher.

Liverpool would be hoping to maintain top spot on the Premier League table after this weekend’s set of games.

A win for the Reds in their upcoming Premier League clash with North London giants Tottenham Hotspur will guarantee their spot at the summit at the end of this weekend.

They face Spurs at Anfield on Sunday evening in the first of their seven league games between now and the rest of the season.

Liverpool currently have a two-point lead at the top of the Premier League ahead of nearest challengers Manchester City who have played a game less than the table toppers.
