Twelve months after switching to Merseyside, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have eventually settled the fee to pay Chelsea for Dominic Solanke’s signature.
According to Goal, the Anfield club and their West London counterparts have decided to avoid a tussle at the Professional Football Compensation Committee. Both sides chose to be ‘matured’, and have arrived at a resolution.
Dominic switched to Anfield last summer after running out of contract at Chelsea, but the Blues were in a position to receive development costs due to his age.
Both sides have settled the fee for the 24-year-old without the need of hearing from a tribunal, and everyone parted ways with a smile.
Liverpool signed Fabinho from Monaco (surprisingly) and are set to receive Naby Keita officially from RB Leipzig at the end of this month.
The Merseyside club have been linked with various talented players including Lyon’s Nabil Fekir. Although the French club announced the player won’t be sold this summer again, it was made known that the talented France international is interested in moving to Anfield.
More recently, The Independent confidently reported that Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri will join Liverpool after the World Cup. The Stoke City winger is currently in Russia representing his country at the World Cup.
